To care for your pet, first click on the Care for Pets link as shown below.

So this is your interface:

The first thing you should look at is to see if your pet is your defualt pet. This is so that it will appear in your battles. If your screen has the text circled in red on it, click on the text to select it as default pet. Otherwise, it will display This is your default pet - [Disable Pet]

Now that you have your pet selected, you will want to know what it eats so that you can feed it. The easiest way to find out is just to simply try to feed it. Click on the feed button for your pet.

Either the message shown, something similar, OR "You give a something to your pet. You have 34 something left." will show up. As you can see, my ghost eats glow dust. But your pet may eat something different, so stock up a couple of those so your pet won't go hungry.

Whenever your pet's Food bar (yellow bar) is a little low, make sure you feed it. Now to check out the blue bar - the happiness bar. This bar is actually quite easy to handle. Simply make sure that your screen is in "play mode" and then click somewhere to throw the ball. Your pet will go to get the ball and when he/she returns it, he/she will be more happy!

This is when training your pet to fetch comes in handy.

So to train your pet, just type a command into the "say" box. If your pet does what you want it to (Fetch the ball in this case), give it a reward. If not, just try again. Gradually it will get better and will understand you more of the time. 100% is the maximum that you can train a command to. You need it trained to 100% to use the command effectively in battle.

So if I wanted to train my pet to fetch, I'd type "fetch" into the say box. If my pet does fetch the ball, then I give it a reward. You can also click on a command in the command box to get your pet to do something. This will work the same as if you had typed that word.

And now we can move on to the most important stat - health. Your pet will not fight if it is at 1 hp. Besides that, it will not fight if it has low happiness or is hungry, but we've already dealt with that. To heal your pet, you can either feed it or give it a medkit. Feeding will also raise your pet's food meter, but your pet cannot be fed if it is completely full, so you may need to get some medkits for these situations. You can buy medkits from various NPCs throughout the game and from the market.

Now that we've dealt with all your pet's needs, we can train it. Train your pet to any other action it can do the same way you did train "fetch". You should have: - attack - go center - go bottom - random move - stay - go top - go and get Or at least something similar to that. Not all of these moves are needed to use your pet. Many players get by using only the go and get and attack commands. Please also note that "go and get" can only be trained in "play" mode while "attack" can only be trained in "combat" mode.

Now when you go into a fight with your pet activated, you will see an extra box. It is labeled "say". So say something!

Please remember that you have to have trained your pet to do things before you can tell them to do it in a fight.
